The Measure of Victory
At Providence Public Library’s Special Collections, I discovered a large reprint of Piranesi's etching of Trajan’s column—depicting the emperor’s victories against the Dacians.
I then used Aristotle’s principles to identify ten essential ways to analyze ‘every object of human apprehension’.
This project included developing a set of 10 double-sided plates as an archive of my research on Giovanni Battista Piranesi‘s etching on Trajan’s column.
