Knot Lace

‘Knot Lace’ is an information design project made using contingent cartographic techniques.
It maps out the obvious and concealed aspects of the lace fabric by creating a 3D exhibit space that is a mix of both the subjective and objective.

Techniques and materials used:
3D printing using filaments
Scanning Electron Microscope at the Edna Lawrence Nature Lab
CMYK printing on acetate sheets and card stock paper
Paper cutting and folding
Analog thread work
