Armilla

The city of Armilla is either unfinished or demolished, with no walls, ceilings or floors. Evidence of existence is based on water pipes running like a 3D grid. But, the city isn’t deserted and is occupied by young women (nymphs and naids) who luxuriate in bathtubs. Streams of water are used as transportation by women.

Paper Sculpture
The folded structure represents a combination of fluidity and mechanics and has been made using a 2D map I developed based on the city’s aspects. When looked at from different angles, one can observe different aspects of the story.

3D printed City Mascot
The second phase  involved creating an emblem for the imaginary city of ‘Armilla’ using 3D printing.

I printed two 3D structures:
1. Hyperbolic structure to mirror the folded form.
2. Octahedron with a vertical and horizontal line added to it’s core.
